Manuel Vincent Ruiz, age 72, of Boulder City, NV passed away on September 14, 2012 surrounded by his family at his home. Manuel was born in Los Reyes, Michoacan, México to José Carballo and Heriberta Cespedes on February 26, 1940. He married Patricia Avalos on February 24, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois. They moved to Boulder City from North Carolina for relocation with a job in 1995. Manuel enjoyed painting, music of all types, sports (especially Chicago teams) but his real passion was for his family.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Avalos-Ruiz of Boulder City, NV; three children: Jessica Ruiz of Reno, NV, Allison (Adam) Shafer of Reno, NV, John T. Ruiz of Boulder City, NV; and his favorite granddaughter Rosemarie P. Shafer.
