Sending my heartfelt condolences to all of you...Donald, Susan and Karen. Barbara was a “Mom” to me when I was young and going through my parents’ divorce. Though the miles have separated us for many years, your family is precious to me. Praying that God will surround you with comfort and peace.

I was so sorry to read in the RJ of the loss of Barbara Clauser Walker. Although I have lived in Las Vegas 20 years, the words "Payette, Idaho" jumped off the RJ page as I read the obituaries this week....my home town! As I read further, the familiar names from my childhood appeared. Barbara Clauser was some some years ahead of me but already a legend for her musical talent, and her parents, Ted and Leta, were dear friends of my mom's (Florence Steigerwalt Lattig). In fact, Leta hosted a lovely garden party for my wedding rehearsal dinner in 1963. I also loved seeing the named Alspach. The Alspach family were such close friends of my grandparents, Frank and Mary Steigerwalt. I only wish I had known Barbara was living so nearby. May your memories give you comfort.
