Gordon David Rasmussen age 86, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on October 30, 2017.  He was born on April 4, 1931 in Los Angeles, California, to Orien and Wanda Dalton Rasmussen.  He served his country in the United States Air Force as a meteorologist and retired with over 22 years of services as a Chief Master Sergeant.  His wife of 52 years, Delores Higgs, preceded him in death in 2006.

After his service in the military he went on to work for Sacramento Channel 10 as the meteorologist.  Gordon moved to the Las Vegas area in 2006 from Fair Oaks California.  He enjoyed traveling and nature.

Gordon is survived by four children Jackie (Evan) Swenson, Sherry (Norbert) Kretschmer, Jeannie (Robert) Root, Mark (Cathryn) Rasmussen; 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
