To Leonard's family. I'm sorry about the his passing.. He sounds like a wonderful man! So, I have received mail twice, addressed to a Leonard Smith. There is no one that I know with that name. I live in Lindon, Utah and when I Google your father's name with my city, his is the only Leonard Smith I can find who is associated with Lindon. The last time I received this mail, I returned to sender and stated that he didn't live at my address, but they sent it again anyway this month....anyway- if you would like to contact me right away at my email address, we can decide if it's his. If not, I'll just send it back.

Bishop Stubbs made a profound difference in my life for which I, and my family will be eternally grateful. He was an inspired leader and sought out and fed the Lord’s lambs and sheep wherever they were and when they needed finding and direction. As was so beautifully express at his funeral, he was a giant, and an angel. He is one of the last of the “Greatest Generation.”

It was good to see you at the funeral, Mahlon and Carole. Dad had your family photo at the time of your mission call proudly displayed on his piano for many years. That experience was dear to his heart.

It is wonderful to celebrate a life rather than mourn a loss. Bishop Stubbs enriched us all and helped us become better because of his ministering, nurturing and example. I shudder to think where I or our family would be without him. I will be eternally grateful that my life interacted with his. We regret that we were not able to attend his funeral. Thank you all for sharing your father.

Bishop Stubbs truly exemplified the attributes of Christ. His role and influence in our family plays a significant role in our family history. In our church service whenever a problem would arise we would ask "How would Bishop Stubbs handle this" and then act accordingly. Heaven is richer today and he will continue to bless the lives of many people throughout the eternities. His life is a monument to mankind.

Uncle Leonard was such an amazing man. I have nothing but wonderful memories of him and Aunt Rose. I feel incredibly blessed that we got to spend so much time with him and that my husband and children got to know and love him too. We will miss him so much, but take comfort knowing he is now with Aunt Rose.

What a giant among men! Not a surprise though because I know his son. Please know our thought and prayers are with you.
