Myron was a great mentor to myself in work and in life. I found out this week that we have lost this great man. This is truly a great loss to the people who knew him.
Myron was my superintendent when I moved to Las Vegas in the early 90's. I knew pretty quickly that Myron was LDS. I grew up LDS so it was easy to recognize by all the aspects in which he carried and presented himself. Also the Bible that was on the dash of his truck.
He made me a better person.
God Speed Myron!

Jeanne & family...
We are so very sorry for your loss. This is an incredibly great man and he will be truly missed. Thank you for sharing him with us. We are especially thankful for the time that we were able to spend with him in the hospital a few days before he passed away. To speak with him that night, to be held by him, to feel his love...it simply is a gift that we will forever be thankful. This dear man touched our life over and over again. He was the first person that came to our home when we moved to Henderson the summer of 1989. He faithfully served as our Bishop and became a lifelong friend. Mortality lost a loving giant, eternity received a humble king. May God bless and comfort you during this tender time. Please know of our love.

I have such great memories of Brother Shepherd from my mission. I served in his ward for about 5 months in 2011, and he was so helpful and kind to us. He would give us rides, teach lessons with us, and always keep his home open in case we were hungry or thirsty. He made sure that we felt loved and felt like a part of his family. He was a lot of fun, too! He had such a great sense of humor. He was a truly wonderful person, and I have a lot of love in my heart for him. I hope his family can feel comfort and love from Heavenly Father during this difficult time.
Love,
Sister Caitlin Jenkins Rigamoto

I have always been thankful for our large family. Every person in our family has added goodness and love that was felt by all. Uncle Myron was always there, hands in his pockets cracking quiet jokes, singing, smiling, bearing his testimony, playing, and making everyone feel comfortable and loved. He baptized me and I will always remember that. He was a shining example of the teachings of the Savior and lived what he knew to be correct and right. I trust that we will all be together on the other side working the Lord's work right along side Uncle Myron. Farewell for now. We will take care of your family here. Love and kisses.

While mourning the passing of my father-in-law this week I have wondered how our family will fill the void that he left. I have been privileged to be a part of his family for more than 25 years. Because of his ability to love, I felt at home leaving my family and my country and coming to his. Because of good parenting by Myron and Jeanne, they have 5 of the best people I know as his children; people I could call for help anytime and who would be by my side through anything, and I am lucky and blessed enough to have one of them for my husband. Because he knew the importance of family, I am blessed to be associated with the most amazing people – aunts, uncles, cousins, and the families of Myron and Jeanne’s children, all of whom I love with all my heart.
Because he taught his children the importance of hard work, I have never worried about my husband providing for my family. Because he taught his children that work was a reflection of your integrity, Mike has been given many opportunities because of the words, “Your Myron’s son?” and we felt both the blessing and the great responsibility it was to do everything we could to maintain Myron’s impeccable reputation. Because he taught his children the gospel of Jesus Christ, I am part of a forever family, sealed in the house of the Lord. Because of his example of service I am amazed and inspired as I watch my husband and family serve at every opportunity.
While I will miss him with my whole heart, I realized that there is no void. He is a part of everything I do and every blessing I enjoy, and I feel his love all around me. I love you, Myron. Until we meet again.
