Ricky Glen Kennedy was born in Oklahoma City on September 23, 1954 to Betty and Glen Kennedy.  Ricky had four siblings which were all girls.  Ricky and his family moved to Fremont, CA in 1956 where he attended school. 

He loved playing chess, skateboarding and running track.  Ricky and his family moved back to Oklahoma where Ricky graduated from Varnum High School.  After high school, he joined the US Army.  Ricky took great pride in being in the Army.  He worked in the oilfields.  He attended Seminole Junior College earning his Associates Degree.  Ricky then attended UNLV to earn his Master’s degree.  He started his career as a Social Worker in 1981 until he retired in 2009.  Ricky moved to Elko, NV where he built on his land and was at peace.

Ricky is survived by his four daughters Rebecca Kennedy of Shawnee, OK, Lesley Kennedy of Henderson, NV, Lisa Siu of Las Vegas, NV and Laura Kennedy of Henderson, NV; the love of his life Susan Kennedy; son-in-laws Henry Siu of Las Vegas, NV and Albert Dolphin of Henderson, NV; nine grandchildren; sisters Debra Batt and Sherry Kennedy.  Ricky is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Patty and Vickie.

Services will be held on September 13, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1900 Buchanan Blvd, Boulder City, NV.  Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
