Betty Caler Obituary

Betty Jean Caler, age 92, passed away at home on July 19, 2019. She was born on February 7, 1927 in Humboldt, Kansas to Elmina Reddick Wilson and William Wilson. Jean married Rollin Caler in Kansas on October 8, 1945. They moved to Boulder City, NV in 1962 after Rollin retired from the Air Force.

Jean is a charter member of Faith Christian Church in Boulder City. She loved to bird, enjoyed feeding the hummingbirds, hiking, collecting rocks and identifying the Mojave desert wildflowers. Jean loved to read and work on jigsaw puzzles. Jean volunteered at the Boulder City Hospital Gift Shop every Sunday afternoon for 40+ years.

Jean is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Robert) Haber, granddaughters Kathryn (Nathan) Peters , Amanda (Chuck) Krupa and great grandsons Michael and Joseph Krupa.

Jean was preceded in death by her son, John Caler and husband, Rollin Caler, as well as her 4 sisters, 1 brother and their spouses.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 9:00 AM at the Boulder City Cemetery. Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuart.com.
