Cheryl Marie Matchett, age 57, passed away on October 26, 2017 in Henderson, NV.  She was born on December 4, 1959 in Champagne, IL to Nancy and William “Pete” Matchett.

Cheryl was a loving mother, dedicated daughter, exuberant grandmother, and fierce friend. If you knew her you would know all about her two dogs Jake and Lu Lu. She was an avid reader, gourmet cook, LCHS Band Mom, and a world traveler.  Cheryl was very adventurous and recently made a trip to Antarctica to see the penguins. Always the volunteer she was a member of the P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization), D.A.R, Chi Omega, the Eastern Star, and the Red Hat Society.

Cheryl is survived by her son Brian (Magen) Thompson; her parents Pete and Nancy Matchett, brother Douglas (Mary Karol) Matchett; and grandson Gordon Hayes Thompson.
