Dolores E Martell

Dolores Espino Martell, 89 of Pahrump Nevada passed away peacefully on August 5. 2018 after 5 days of compassionate care at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, NV. She was born on November 30, 1928 in Tracy, CA to Leopoldo Espino and Maria Lopez Espino. 

Working as a Nurse’s Aide for 40 years, she began at Colusa General Hospital in Colusa, CA, then at Mercy Hospital in Redding California.  Moving to Reno, NV in 1969 she ended her career at St. Mary’s Hospital in that city.  Dolores met and married her husband of 44 years, Victor Martell who also worked at St. Mary’s.  They moved to Pahrump in 1998.  She and Victor were active in the Pahrump Model A’s Car Club and she was an active member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. 

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Espino and Joseph Espino and two sisters, Linda Espino Almaguer and Lupe Espino Montoya.  Dolores is survived by sisters, Esther Espino Garcia and Jenny Espino Guerrero and sister-in-law Esther Espino (Ralph).  She is also survived by her husband, Victor Martell of the home, daughters, Barbara Watts (Ken Thomas) of Tampa, FL, Yvonne Harris, currently residing in Australia; sons, Manuel Roa (Sue Roa) of Pahrump and Andrew Roa of Los Angeles CA and step-daughter, Vickie Adler of Camas, WA. She leaves six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday August 10, 2018 at 11:30am at Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Hwy Ste 1 Boulder City, Nevada.  Funeral Service and Internment will follow at 1:20 pm at the Southern Nevada Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive Boulder City, Nevada.  Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
