Glen Buel Olson

Glen Buel Olson, age 92, of Boulder City, NV passed away on June 24, 2019.  Glen was born on October 23, 1926 in Jackson County, MN to Gerhard Olson and Clara Johnson Olson.  He married Shirley Jean Halter on August 1, 1952 in Windom, MN.  They moved to Boulder City 39 years ago from the Minneapolis, MN area.

Glen served his country in the United States Navy during WWII.  After returning from service he was a charter member of the Jackson Minnesota VFW. He was also a member of the American Legion, Elks and Senior Center.  Glen was an avid bowler and was the captain of the Championship team that won the USBC Championships in 1970 and 1972.  He owned a bowling supply store and was the owner of Boulder Bowl in Boulder City, NV from 1980-1997.  He also enjoyed painting and silversmithing.  His favorite things were being with family and friends.  He had a strong faith and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Boulder City.

Glen is survived by his wife Shirley; three sons Michael (Susan), Kevin, Alan; three grandchildren Matthew, Ayla and Erika.

Interment will be held on July 5th 2019, at 10:00 am at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive Boulder City.  Celebration of life to follow at 11:00 at Christ Lutheran Church 1401 5th Street Boulder City, NV.  Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
