Louise Charlotte (Shade) Blye

Louise Charlotte Shade Blye, youngest daughter of the late Tessie Hardy Shade and James Henry Shade was born on November 14th 1932 in Burke County, Morganton, North Carolina.  She peacefully departed this life on November 25th 2018 at the age of 86 years, 11 days. 
She joined McElrath AME Chapel Church early in life. She served her church and her God well, and enjoyed singing in the church choir. 

In 1950, Louise married the late Jesse Odell Blye in Gaffney, South Carolina. In 1962, Jesse and Louise relocated their family to Los Angeles, CA., where Louise enjoyed working in cosmetics production for the Max Factor company. Jesse and Louise raised 6 children and remained happily married for 55 years until Jesse's passing in Dec 2005. Louise and Jesse enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and eventually retired there. Louise was an avid Los Angeles Lakers basketball fan. 
Louise was preceded in death by her 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Louise is survived by 6 children - Ronald Blye of Carson CA., Emory Blye of Riverside, CA., Katrina Blye of Las Vegas NV., Patricia Blye of Riverside, CA., Keith Blye of Long Beach, CA., and Jesse Blye Jr. of Las Vegas, NV.  In addition, she leaves to mourn numerous grandchildren,  great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. She will be sorely missed by those she left behind.  
 
On December 7th 2018, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder, NV., there will be a celebration of Louise's life and she will be laid to rest alongside Jesse, a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran.
