Melba also worked at Farmers & Merchants Bank in Provo, Utah, H & R Block, and as a secretary at the Air Force Accounting and Finance Center in Denver.

She loved to read, sew, do handiwork, golf, as well as playing the piano and organ.  She loved Colorado and many outdoor activities and thoroughly enjoyed her association with many wonderful friends through her bridge club. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints having served in various callings, but music was her love.  She served as a ward organist for over 30 years and played at many weddings, funerals, and at the Denver Temple.

Melba is survived by her 2 daughters, 1 son-in-law, 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, her sisters Marrial Clark Konvicka of Salt Lake City, Utah and Doris Clark Cranmer of West Jordan, Utah, all of whom she loved dearly.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester, her infant son, her parents, and her brother, Roger O.
