I was recently telling my children about some of my childhood teachers, and I mentioned Mrs. Calvert. She was so sweet, so fun, and a great educator. She was with us at astrocamp in the 5th grade, and I saw her again at the Mt. Charleston lodge for another activity in high school. I remember how cool she was when we wanted to pull pranks on the boys at both, and I remember her kindness and compassion when my family's home burned down as a kid. She was truly someone special.
I'm saddened to find out she has passed, but I will cherish those memories.
Sending love and condolences to her family. ❤️

I have seen Sheryl only once since we were high school classmates, but if she continued her life with the commitment and dignity that she showed then, her death is a real loss to us all. It is especially a loss to you who loved her, and my sympathies are with you.

Sheryl was a special person in my life. I was her Visiting Teacher for several years and got to know her when she was in the Summit Ward in Henderson. It was such a pleasure to visit with her. She was a fierce fighter with her many health problems and always had a positive attitude. She expressed her love and pride in her grandchildren and her son and daughter-in-law. She was an extraordinary teacher and mentor and I admired her tenacity in anything in which she was involved. She certainly enriched my life for knowing her. May God bless her family and comfort them at this time of loss.

Sheryl was my best Nevada friend. We had some very good times together. Connor and I thought of her as extended family. She taught me a great deal. If I would've had a sister, I would've wished it was Sheryl. She will be deeply missed.

My condolences to your entire family Allen
I have great memories of your mom. She was so full of life. I will miss her dearly, but I will know that she is resting in peace and no longer hurting. She will be missed by past students and colleagues who have had their lives touched by her caring presence. Sympathies to all. You are in my heart, and on my mind as you lay Sheryl to rest. God Bless.
