Sheryl Lynn Edgar Calvert, age 74, resident of Boulder City, NV passed away on October 23, 2017 in Henderson, NV.  She was born on June 2, 1943 in Mauston, Juneau County, WI to Bernardine Allen and Jordon Thomas Edgar.  She married Walter Clarence Calvert on February 18, 1967 in Mauston, Wisconsin.

Sheryl is preceded in death by her husband Walter Calvert and her parents Eldron and Bernardine Erbs  Sheryl is survived by her son Allen (Alycia) Calvert; four grandchildren Emma, Ethnie, Afton, and Ezra Calvert; three sisters Linda (James) Nagy of Falls Church, VA, Christy Gerwing of CO and Marcy Boldon of Mauston, WI; three brothers Don (Linda) Erbs of Tomah, WI, Ray (Sue) Erbs of Sun Prairie, WI, and Larry (Lucinda) Erbs of Reedsburg, WI.

Sheryl graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BS in Elementary education while minoring in music, political science, and psychology.  She earned a MS in education psychology and counseling from the University of Wisconsin.  She was an educator in Janesville, WI, and a teacher and elementary and junior high principal in Shullsburg, WI before moving to Las Vegas in 1985.  She continued teaching in the fourth and fifth grades with a final moved to gifted and talented education which was her very favorite.  She retired in 2013 due to health problems.

Her one dream was to serve a mission when retired due to joining the Church of Jesus Christ after she was married.  Genealogy is now her mission from home and with others in the Church assisting.

A viewing will be held on Friday October 27, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at the LDS Buchanan Chapel, 1550 Buchanan Blvd Boulder City, NV, with the funeral service following at 10:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association in memory of Sheryl (see link below).  Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
