Thomas Hand Obituary

Thomas Winston Hand, 78 of Henderson passed away September 23, 2019. He is survived by his wife Linda, his twin sister Jean Babcock and sons Joseph Morgan of Las Vegas, William Hand of Mesa, AZ and daughters Heather Askwig & family of Chandler, AZ and Dawn Hand of Denver.

He served in the U. S. Army from 1962 to 1966 and was a member of the Army BAR Rifle Team. Tom retired from Las Vegas Fire Department in 1988 after 26 years of service and attaining the rank of Captain.

He loved to golf, play cards with his friends and trap shoot. He was always willing to help someone in need and gave his time and expertise to his youth shooting group. Services will be held at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery’s Chapel on October 2 at 12:40 pm with a gathering of family and friends at their home immediately following the service.
