Boulder City Native, Becky Ballard Heckenlively passed away March 21st at Nathan Adelson Hospice, following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Boulder City, NV on Feb. 8, 1971 to Hirschi and Lynn Ballard.

Becky lived her entire life in Boulder City.  She was a member of band, playing Clarinet.  She dearly loved marching band, and half-time reviews that they performed.  She was chosen for Clark County Honor Band many times during Jr. High and High School where she played Bass Clarinet.  She graduated from BCHS in 1989.  She attended Clark County Community College and took classes in American Sign Language.  She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Becky did Child Care in her home for many years.  She loved children and was “Tata” to all those she tended.

Becky had many talents and interests.  She loved crafting, sewing, dogs, cooking, cross-stitch, reading, playing games of all kinds, movies, travel, Crayola Crayons, Swedish Fish, Mountain Dew, and Sunflower Seeds.

Becky had many friends.  She was a truly loyal friend.  Many of her friends spent time with her over the last couple of months while she was bedridden to help fill empty hours while Erik worked.  It was very comforting to her.  The family wishes to express their thanks for all the help and support they received from Becky’s good friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hirschi Ballard (1997), Nephew Erik Daniels (2014), Sister Sharron Thompson (2014) and Sister Shannon Barrett (2018), grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
