Carol Ann (Rollinger) McKeever

Carol Ann McKeever, age 75, of Boulder City, NV passed away on December 16, 2020 in Henderson, NV.  She was born on October 3, 1945, the oldest of 6 siblings, in Tarentum, PA to World War II veteran Donald Charles Rollinger and Madeline Mae Cassell Rollinger.  She married Robert William McKeever III on August 7, 1965 in Washington, DC.  Bob and Carol started their family and lived together for several years in Washington D.C., Alamogordo, NM, and Valley Forge, PA, before moving to Boulder City in 1979. 

Carol worked for the Federal government for over four decades.  She began her career in Washington D.C. and then for the U.S. Air Force at Holloman Air Force Base in NM.  The bulk of her career was spent working for the Bureau of Reclamation in Boulder City.  She added nearly another decade working for the City of Boulder City.  

Carol loved to help others and turned to volunteering her time with the Boulder City Fire Department, Suicide Prevention, and with the Rape Crisis Center in Las Vegas.  Her Rape Crisis Center work earned her a Nevada Woman of Achievement Award.

In addition to being a fixture at her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events she enjoyed reading, knitting, and, above all, spending additional time with her grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her husband Robert McKeever; two sons Bobby and Tim, daughter-in-law Tammy; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; brothers Don (Sandy) Rollinger and Ron (Elaine) Rollinger and sisters Kathy (Barry) Hollis, Joan (Randy) Grabill, and Jean Rollinger.  She is preceded in death by daughter Kelly.
