Charles William Bolwin

Charles William Bolwin, age 93, of Henderson, NV passed away on November 11, 2021.  He was born on March 15, 1928 in Chicago, IL to Herman Ludwig Bolwin and Mary Mandars Bolwin.  He married Shirley Brassart on July 31, 1950. They moved from Antioch IL to Henderson, NV in 1994.

Charles enjoyed bowling, playing horseshoes and playing family card games.  He loved to take Shirley dancing and listening to music.  He enjoyed watching westerns and war movies but spending time with family was what he liked best.   During the past 10 years, he enjoyed spending time with his friend and companion, Adeline Wyants.  Together they went to local parades and events and family parties.  They loved going to one of their favorite casino’s, The Emerald Island Casino, where they enjoyed playing slots, and having their favorite meal, BBQ Ribs! He also enjoyed visiting with and spoke highly of their friendly staff.  Prior to his retirement he worked as a truck driver and an iron worker.

Charles was proceeded in death by his wife Shirley, who he was married to for 59 years, by his parents, and his brothers and sisters. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Linda Bolwin, daughter Patti Wesolek, son in law Bill Wesolek, and his dear friend Adeline Wyants.

He is survived by three children Thomas (Lisa) Bolwin, Candi (Len) Hurlburt, Cathy (Gerry) Konitzer; eleven grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews who he loved very much.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 9am to 10am at Boulder City Family Mortuary.  Funeral service and military honors will follow at 10:40 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
