Gregory Allen Wells

Gregory Allen Wells passed away on July 4th, 2021 after spending the weekend with loved ones. Gregory Allen Wells was born on July 19th, 1968 in Relondo Beach California to Alvin and Linda Lou Wells. Greg attended Nogales High School and was very active in the Nogales High School Chambers singers. He talked about this often and the life-long friends he made during that time. Greg decided to move to Washington to help out his grandma. He had a special relationship with his grandma and learned a lot from her such as good work ethic. He also enjoyed good conversation and making crafts with her. She encouraged him to work hard and graduate High School at Battle Ground High School. 

Greg was a volunteer fire fighter while he was living in Washington. He joined the army in July of 1987. He then married Amy and they had two sons Kevin and Robert. Kevin was born on Sept. 24th, 1990 and Robert was born on Nov. 25th, 1991. Greg became a medic in the Army. He left the Army in 1994 to go on to do many different jobs and ended up at Yellow Checker Star Cab Company as a mechanic. 

February 2015 Greg met his current wife Kathleen. They soon became inseparable and married on February 16th, 2017. He then gained 2 stepsons and 1 stepdaughter. He also gained in-law's Barbara and Joie Dougherty and 3 brother in laws, 3 grandchildren and many others he called family. Greg became active in his church community serving on the security team, Usher and small group leader. He also taught Awana's and worked in Kidopolis on Sunday. He was a frequent Volunteer for Las Vegas Rescue Mission and SOS Radio events. 

Greg loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He loved taking the grandkids everywhere he could. He was a loving grandfather to Mikey, Chad, Makayla and Mateo. One of his favorite family times was game night. 

Greg was diagnosed with a rare Leukemia on January 14th, 2020. He continued to fight for 1 1/2 years and finally became cancer free. Unfortunately, a strong Virus ended up taking his life on July 4th, 2021. Greg is preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Linda Lou Wells. He is survived by his wife Kathleen, Son's Kevin, Robert, Stepchildren Melissa, Tony, Branden, Argi, Shaun, and Stella. Grandchildren Mikey, Chad, Makayla and Mateo.

A celebration of life will be held at Southern Hills Church 6425 W. Pebble Rd., Las Vegas, NV, 89139. On July 30th @ 10:00 a.m. Military service at 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr., Boulder City, NV. 89005 will follow @ 1:20 p.m
