Janie Luna

Ms. Janie Luna, 83 of Henderson, NV passed away on September 6, 2022. She was
born March 30, 1939 in San Antonio, TX. Janie dearly loved her family, and she especially loved
when everyone was together. Holidays and traditions were very important to her. She cared for
others and always made sure that people were fed. No matter the condition of her health, she
would worry if everyone around her had eaten, even giving her own food to them. Janie loved
collecting unique angels, salt and pepper shakers, and ashtrays. She loved country music, like
Randy Travis, and country dancing. Janie also loved food including many of her favorites: Texas
barbeque, sweet potatoes, okra, corn, strawberries, peaches, diet Pepsi, German chocolate
cake, and In & Out Burger. Whenever she was asked “What do you want Momma?” she would
say “Steak and money!”. She had a very spunky and sassy personality and will be sorely
missed by all. Love you, “Momma”! Thank you for every sacrifice you made for your family.
Janie Luna was preceded in death by; Grandparents: Fancisco and Perfecta Luna,
Severo and Juanita Cruz. Parents: Manuel and Basilia Cruz Luna. Brother: Herman Luna.
Sisters: Mary (Fred) Vera, Nora Taylor. Sister-In-Law: Hertha Luna. Brother-In-Law: George
Audinwood. Grandchild: Catarino De La Fuente.
Janie Luna is survived by her siblings; Frank Luna, Anita Luna, Margie Audinwood,
Raymond (Angela) Luna, Josie (Don) Fielder, Betty (Arthur) Andrew, and Sister-in-law Lala
Luna. Children; Mary Jane (Mike) Burkholder, Jo Ann Noriega, Christine (David) Rodilosso,
Robert Noriega, and Nancy Jensen. Grandchildren; Steve (Kiyanna) Gonzales, Joey (Melissa)
Gonzales, Norma Ramirez, Diana De La Fuente, Denise Noriega, Timothy (Tiffenie) Rodilosso,
Christopher Rodilosso, Matthew (Pamela) Rodilosso, Samuel (Sarah) Rodilosso, Daniel (Miho)
Noriega, Patricia (PJ) (Kyle) Noriega, Stephanie Noriega, Bridgett (BJ) Maticic, Gene Smith,
Brittney (Ricky) Penn, Kaylynn Jensen, Brandy (Tallen) Fitzsimmons, Karrissa Goforth. Great
