John Kist Jr.

John Kist Jr, age 81, passed away on September 3, 2018 in Boulder City, Nevada.  He was born on September 22, 1936 in Jamestown, North Dakota to Kathleen Bitterman and John Kist. He married Charlotte Matheson on February 18, 1978 in Tacoma, WA.  They moved from Tacoma, Washington to Boulder City 20 years ago.

John loved to golf, shoot guns, and riding motorcycles.  He was a fan of travelling and went on 52 cruises with his lovely wife.  John enjoyed eating out at Boulder City’s local restaurant, Evans, and enjoyed being around his friends and people in general. 

John is survived by four children Shari Kern, Russ (Joan) Nichols, Susan Haas, and Bryan Kist; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Kist.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 5 to 7 pm at Boulder City Family Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 10:40 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive Boulder City, NV.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project.  Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com
