Obituary
Karen Lynn Hughes, age 71, of Henderson, NV passed away on June 17, 2022 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on November 22, 1950 in Ridgway, PA to Robert Glans and Louise Dodge Glans. She moved to the Las Vegas area in 1987 from Lake Oswego, OR.
Karen worked as a sales Rep for Nevada Contract Carpet and loved her profession. When Karen was not working, she could be found with her friends at the Boulder City Horseman’s Association where she owned a barn and her beloved horse Arraya. Karen has always had a lifelong love for horses. Karen was active in Boulder City Business Development and other organizations helping other business people and networking.
Karen is survived by her companion Jimmy Lee Wolfford; two sons Derek and his wife Trina Hughes, Daniel Hughes; brother Dennis Glans and his wife Joni Glans; four grandchildren Kelsey, Kailey, Vaughn and Megan; two daughter-in-laws Tracy and Kimberly.
Celebration of her life will be held on Sunday June 26 From noon to 3 PM at Boulder City Senior Center. Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com.
