Kathleen Ann Stade

Kathleen “Kay” Stade passed away peacefully in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 7, 2021, she went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 93.  Kay was born in Bancroft, Iowa on June 9, 1928 where she lived in a farming community.  Kay was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Howard Stade and grandson, Christopher Johnson.  She is lovingly remembered by her children, Sandi Johnson (Allen), Richard “Dickie” Stade; grandchildren Kyle Johnson (Sonia), Carissa Gibson (Chris), Cheyenne Tait, and nine great grandchildren Jade, Parker, Chandler, Christopher, Brayden, Sophia, Nathaniel, Elliot, and Frankie.
 

Following graduation from high school in Iowa, Kay moved to Fairmont, Minnesota to train in nursing, where she met the love of her life.  She spent her life dedicated to the care of others and retired from Trimount Health Care Center.  She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church and an avid Minnesota Twins fan.  Following the passing of her husband, Kay relocated to Boulder City, Nevada where she enjoyed her family and her pittie, Hank.  She remained very active and enjoyed spending time with her family and reading every day.  She was a great grandma with spunk and will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services were arranged by Boulder City Family Mortuary and family and friends can sign an online memorial guest book at www.bouldercityfamilymortuary.com. Viewing will be held at the mortuary on Tuesday, September 14, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Graveside service and sermon will be held on Wednesday, September 15 at Boulder City Cemetery at noon.
