Rita Joan Schwarzer

Rita J Schwarzer of Boulder City passed away Dec. 1 surrounded by family and friends.  She was born on June 13, 1937 and married her very best friend Jim on August 1, 1958.  They were happily married for nearly 60 years until Jim’s death in 2018.  She was also preceded in death by her son James Jr. also in 2018.  Rita is survived by her daughter Joni Schwarzer and brothers Mike and Jerry Williams and a sister Suzi Kopanski, all of Boulder City. One grandson, Cliff Kuhn of Lockhart, TX, granddaughter Amanda of Independence, MO and two great grandsons Joshua and Ethan of Lockhart, YX.

Rita and Jim worked side by side and owned and operated Quality Boiler Service in Texas and later in California before retiring and moving to Boulder City in 2006.  They both loved their new home here and being around family and many friends.  They were active in the Boulder City Senior Center and attended Faith Christian Church for over 12 years.  She will be so sadly missed by all of her family and friends and many nephews and nieces.
