Robert August Mueller

July 31, 1931 ~ January 26, 2020 (age 88)


Robert August Mueller, was born July 31, 1931 in Chicago, IL. Robert (Bob) Graduated from Lane Tech High School in Chicago joining the US Army shortly thereafter. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the 10th Infantry Division, earning the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He married Marilyn J. (Meyer) in June 1956, they had three children Lynn (Mueller) Parquette, Cindy (Mueller) Papen-Beard (Lee) and Robert C. Mueller (Denise).

Throughout his life he worked in the family business Mueller Ornamental Iron Works until 2001 when he retired to Henderson NV to enjoy his 1st love, golf and the warm weather in the winter months. During the last 45 years he spent the summer months as a seasonal at Lakeland Camping Resort in Milton, WI where he had many friends that named him the unofficial Mayor of Duck Pond.  

He loved with all his heart his nine grandchildren Jessica (Parquette) Fitzpatrick (Shawn), Wesley Parquette (Angie), Zachary Sergeiga, Kyle, Mason and Elizabeth Mueller, Amanda and Brittney Beard and Caitlin (Beard) Gonzalez (Andrew) seven great grandchildren Addison Parquette, Aubree, Deklan and Zoii Fitzpatrick, Ava and Emmeline Parquette and Charlotte Gonzalez.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Anna, his wife Marilyn and brother Paul.

A Celebration of his life will be held during the summer, at a date to be determined.
