Robert Allen Seitz

Robert “Bob” Allen Seitz, age 73, of Henderson, NV passed away of natural causes at home on March 22, 2020.  He was born in Chicago, IL to Fredrick and Ruth Seitz.  He attended St. John Berchman’s high school.  As a young boy, Bob enjoyed his summers working on the farm with his grandpa and times at the lake with his cousins.  He served as a Corporal in the Unites States Marine Corp and fought in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968.  After returning from the war, he met a beautiful woman with soup can rollers in her hair and he knew they were meant for each other.  Robert Seitz and Camille Szczubelek married on February 15, 1969.  As he and Camille began raising their daughter Sherri and son Mark in Streamwood, Illinois, he worked as a UPS driver, snowplow driver and cement truck driver.  He always said, “Good Chicago Food, Good Chicago People”. Bob was a beloved husband and the best dad to their two children. In 1979, while on vacation in California, Bob and Camille decided to move the family to California.

Bob continued to work as a cement truck driver and later as a plant manager for Standard Concrete in Lake Forest, CA.  He loved the outdoors, traveling, camping and time with family and friends.  Bob cherished traveling with Camille in their later years.  He loved spending time camping and riding ATV’s with Mark and Heather.  He also enjoyed traveling to Hawaii with Camille and Sherri. After Bob took an early retirement, he and Camille moved to Henderson, Nevada.  He really enjoyed being Camille’s assistant and chauffer while she sold real estate. They were a perfect pair.

Bob treasured his 48 years with his wife Camille, they truly loved each other and enjoyed spending time together.  They were “connected at the hip” and missed her so very much after her passing.  He was most proud of his children and their accomplishments and enjoyed every minute he was able to spend time with them.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Fedrick Seitz and Ruth Seitz.  He is survived by his two children Sherri Seitz of Tustin, California and Mark with wife Heather Seitz of Henderson, Nevada.  He is preceded in death by his wife Camille Seitz who passed away in 2017.  The Seitz family wishes to extend their gratitude and love to everyone he knew. He truly loved all his friends and family.  Bob (dad) leaves an enormous void in our family and we will miss him more than words could ever say.  We will miss his jokes, laugh, big heart, guidance and unwavering support.

Robert will be buried at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery with his wife.  A service and celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
